Frequently asked questions

No, you do not need prior Pilates experience before joining a group mat class. However, while our classes are adaptable, if you are brand new to Pilates, returning to fitness after time off, are pregnant, or are managing a specific injury, I strongly recommend starting with a private session or only booking the Mat Pilates - Fundamentals classes to ensure you learn the foundational principles of breathing and core activation safely before joining an intermediate group environment.

We require a minimum of 6 hours notice if you need to cancel a class. Cancellations made outside of this window will unfortunately result in the full class fee being charged, as space is limited in our small groups and we want to be considerate of other participants on the waitlist.

We recommend arriving 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. This gives you enough time to check in, use the changing facilities, and settle onto your mat without disrupting the previous session. We lock the studio door promptly at the start time to ensure focus throughout the remainder of the class. Class will begin within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time.

Group mat classes are held at Good Vibes Wellness Centre in Lower Sackville (Unit 10, 622 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C 2S3) - located beside the Sackville Public Library. Parking is available and this location is accessible by bus.

Please bring a mat and bottle of water. We provide all small props (such as resistance bands, balls, hand weights and magic circles) required for each class. We sanitize all studio equipment between classes.

Please wear comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely, such as yoga pants or leggings and a t-shirt or tank top. This allows me to clearly see your body alignment and make necessary corrections. Grip socks are recommended for safety and hygiene in the studio.
